Presentation of Clinical Cases by Undergraduate Physicians During the On-call Handover, Ethnographic Study

Objective: to describe an on-call handover and presentation of clinical cases in the pediatrics service its impact on learning undergraduate medical interns. Methods: qualitative study with ethnographic approach, participation interns who rotated through service, during bimonthly March-April 2019, attending physicians participated handover. Observations, video recordings interviews were carried out, subsequently analysis was performed. Results: period, identified as a formative activity; intern presented histories admission notes prepared period; actively questions, comments, recommendations, explanations that served guide for students achieve greater professional competencies. Conclusion: key activity development two competencies practice, diagnosis treatment.
